Purpose of Position - As part of the Decommissioning and Dismantling (D&D) discipline, you will be responsible for delivering innovative engineering solutions to decommissioning challenges both in the UK and internationally.
Role and Responsibilities
As a Project Manager, you will ensure effective project delivery, striving to achieve established goals and objectives regarding time, cost, and quality. Your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring successful delivery of a portfolio of projects of varying value and complexity.
- Overseeing financial performance and risk management of projects.
- Managing and supporting customer and stakeholder groups through reviews and progress meetings.
- Leading negotiations with customers, stakeholders, and subcontractors.
- Driving efficiency and best practices, aligning local processes and procedures as applicable.
- Identifying issues that may impact project baselines and implementing effective risk mitigation strategies.
Job Context & Challenges - The role requires close working relationships with other client sites, necessitating regular travel to those locations, depending on project requirements.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience as a Project Manager on a nuclear site or highly regulated environment.
- Previous experience managing high-value projects.
- Degree in Project Management or a relevant field.
- Knowledge of Sellafield and APM qualifications are essential.
- Understanding of planning, risk, and cost management principles at program and project levels.
- Familiarity with stage-gate principles of project delivery.
- Awareness of factors affecting team motivation and techniques for risk management.
