Commercial Controller
Location: Brandesburton
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000
Hybrid Working: 3 days in the office, 2 days from home (after 3 months of training)
Are you an experienced professional with a passion for commercial management and contract control? Our client is seeking a Commercial Controller to join their dynamic Rental Department. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing contracts from end to end and ensuring the commercial integrity of their rental contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contract Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of rental contracts, ensuring compliance and effective management of financial aspects across approximately 60 projects.
- Financial Oversight: Prepare and issue regular account development reviews, project reports, and applications for payment, ensuring timely final accounts reconciliation.
- Client Liaison: Collaborate with managers and clients to review project progress, resolve issues, and conduct site visits as necessary.
- Project Management: Update project management systems with revenue and costs, manage the application and certification process, and approve subcontractor works orders for payment.
- Review and Analysis: Conduct pricing document reviews, contract reviews (including JCT and NEC), and cash flow analysis to support decision-making.
Experience:
- Qualifications: GCSE Maths and English Level 4 (C) or above; commercial experience with industry knowledge and/or Quantity Surveyor (QS) experience.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) at an intermediate/advanced level.
- Experience: Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and a solid understanding of drawings and building design.
